Alrø church has the usual white colour of a Danish village church, but it is atypical in having the bell tower as a separate wooden structure.

We drove on to Alrø along this coastal road.
The beach does not look very inviting this time of year, but it is a bracing walk. We figured it would a good idea to do something healthy, since the following day we were going to have a traditional Danish Christmas Lunch, with all that it implies (see later).

We walked out onto the pier. Its main users seem to be the seagulls; they smash the mussels on the wooden planks to get at the meat, and also use the place as their toilet.
